MEET THE EQUALITY IMPACT INVESTING PIONEERS CHARTING A NEW PATH FOR THE SECTOR

We are delighted to present the EII Pioneers who attended our foundational training course, EQUALITY IMPACT INVESTING: FROM PRINCIPLES TO PRACTICE (EIIP2P), held in March 2021.

The Lookbook introduces you to a growing community of EII practitioners – who are working to tackle a range of inequalities all around the world through using and adapting the tools of impact investing to advance equality. The 85 social impact investors who attended our inaugural training are now well underway upskilling and adding to key equality impact investing strategies.

The EIIP2P Learning Modules present the material that was shared during the training: edited videos of the trainer’s presentations and exercises as well as the slide decks.

TRAINING IN EQUALITY IMPACT INVESTING

One of EIIP’s priorities is to support impact investors in enhancing the role they can play in advancing equality. We are currently offering our foundational training course and delivering customised trainings upon request.  Our trainings allow participants to deepen their understanding of the multidimensional and intersectional nature of inequality and learn how to apply equality impact investing principles, strategies and practices to their funding and investment portfolios.

WHAT IS THE EIIPP2P TRAINING COURSE?

This course builds on and supplements EIIP’s flagship research report, Equality Impact Investing: From Principles to Practice. It covers:

·       The principles and theory of change of EII and how they link to wider equality and sustainable development movements goals, standards and strategies;

·       How to bring these ideas alive to apply in practice with key strategies, processes, ideas and case studies

The core training team brings both multi-facetted and in-depth knowledge and experience in both inequality and human rights and social investing and philanthropy. Other experts, including those with lived experience, and innovators from all these fields, also provide video contributions to the course.

WHO IS THE TRAINING FOR?

The course is suited to individual impact investors and funds, private and charitable foundations, philanthropists, and infrastructure and market building organisations. The content is relevant for those working in a range of roles -  senior management, strategy and policy, programme design and delivery, monitoring and evaluation, operations and non-executive boards and investment committees.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The course is designed to fit within and draw on your working practice, with an emphasis on strategies, tools and practices you can immediately transfer into your work systems. We take you through two core modules focusing on theory and practice and two action-oriented learning sessions. The sessions are designed to enable you to immediately transfer and apply course learning to your work, with opportunities to assess your progress.

Resources on Equality Impact Investing

As a collaborative endeavour that seeks to build the field of equality impact investing, EIIP gathers resources that demonstrates or supports putting equality impact principles and strategies into practice. Co-created by EIIP and the equality impact investing community, the EII Knowledge Hub provides knowledge, best practices and tools for equality impact investing. These resources are made available for the benefit of the entire community, to catalyse and advance knowledge and action for equality impact.
